Skraib uses four tiers. Core writing features are free forever. You only pay for AI usage.

Billing: Payments are processed through Polar. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from the Dashboard → Billing tab. When upgrading, the new plan takes effect immediately. When downgrading, the change applies at the end of the current billing period.

Students: Verify with a .edu email to get Pro free for one year. Go to /students to apply.

API keys are available on Pro and Ultra plans. From Dashboard → Settings → API Keys:

1. Click Generate New Key
2. Name the key (e.g., "VS Code Extension")
3. Set a monthly token limit (optional)
4. Copy the key — it is shown only once

You can create multiple keys with different limits. Revoke a key at any time — requests using it will immediately fail.

Skraib tracks three usage categories:

• AI Tokens: Consumed by Super Scribe (Layers 2–3), AI Review, AI Comments, and agent tasks. Reset monthly.
• AI Reviews: Number of document reviews run. Free: 3/month. Starter: 5/day. Pro+: unlimited.
• Spaces: Number of active writing spaces. Free: 1. Starter: 1. Pro+: unlimited.

Check your real-time usage from the Dashboard workspace tab. A progress bar shows your current month's consumption. When you hit a limit, AI features pause until the next cycle or an upgrade.

You own your data. Export everything at any time:

• Documents: Export individual documents as Markdown, HTML, DOCX, PDF, or JSON from the editor. Export all documents as a ZIP from Dashboard → Settings.
• Account data: Request a full GDPR export from Dashboard → Settings → Data Export. Includes all documents, usage history, and account metadata.

Deletion: Delete your account from Dashboard → Settings → Danger Zone. All documents and personal data are permanently removed within 30 days. This action is irreversible.
