Skraib ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our writing application.

  • Account information: Name, email address, and authentication data provided through Clerk.
  • Content: Documents, text, and writing you create within the Service.
  • Usage data: Feature interactions, AI token consumption, and performance metrics.
  • Device data: Browser type, operating system, and IP address (anonymized where possible).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • Communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security issues.

4. AI and Your Content

We do not train AI models on your content. Your writing is processed by third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Moonshot AI) solely to generate suggestions and reviews. We have agreements in place prohibiting these providers from using your data for model training.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Convex's infrastructure. Documents are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement industry-standard security practices including access controls, audit logging, and regular security reviews.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Service providers necessary to operate Skraib (e.g., Convex, Clerk, AI providers).
  • Law enforcement when required by valid legal process.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
  • Export your documents at any time.
  • Object to certain processing activities.
  • Withdraw consent where applicable.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon deletion, your documents and personal data are permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Skraib is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service.
